Determination of the antibacterial activity of chromomycin A₃ extracts using ethyl acetate. Chromomycin A₃ in 70 mutant strains and the wild-type strain (WT) was extracted using ethyl acetate. Chromomycin A₃ extracts (40 μl) were loaded onto paper disks with 8 mm diameter on LB plates containing S. aureus cells. The antibacterial activity was determined through measuring the diameter of inhibition zone.
