Effect of culture time on the production level of chromomycin A3. The wild-type (WT) and mutant strains were cultured in ISP-2 medium plates for 4 or 5 days and chromomycin A3 in each strain was extracted using ethyl acetate. The absorbance at 405 nm of chromomycin A3 extracts was measured to determine the level of chromomycin A3.
