Cefoxitin sensitivity of the lapB mrcB double mutant.
The MICs of cefoxitin against the wild-type, mrcB mutant, lapB mrcB double mutant, and lapB mutant strains were measured in Mueller-Hinton broth plates containing cefoxitin of final concentrations of 512 μg/ml to 3.9 ng/ml in two-fold serial dilutions, according to the Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. After incubation at 37°C for 20 h, pictures of the plates were taken.
